Bridge City’s assistant centre manager, Wendy Majola, was born in KwaMashu and currently lives 6 kms from the centre in Inanda with her family and two dogs, Danger and Dodo. She is outgoing by nature and keeps abreast of what is happening in the local community.
Wendy joined Capital Land in January 2014. Prior to Bridge City, Wendy was the centre manager of KwaMashu Shopping Centre, a 11 204 meter squared convenience centre in the heart of KwaMashu, where she gained invaluable property management experience. She is viewed by her colleagues and Futuregrowth staff alike, as a capable, energetic member of the Capital Land team.
Wendy’s current position includes responsibility for the day to day running of Bridge City shopping centre, tenant liaison and queries, and all the administrative work associated with centre management. Wendy regularly gets involved with operational and maintenance queries, and dealing with contractors in order to resolve tenants’ issues.
Feedback from Bridge City tenants reflects Wendy’s approach to her work and the impact she has in her job: “In situations that I come across and need centre management’s help, Wendy is always there for me. She will leave whatever she is doing in the office and come to assist me and advise me if necessary. I highly appreciate that. Please keep up the good work.”
